Restorative Workshops at Yoga West
2 workshop offerings on January 27, 2019 in Katy, Texas at Yoga West.
Support to Release, 10am-1pm
We will begin with a short discussion of the restful pose, a warm up, breath work, a unique restorative sequence and finish with a Yoga Nidra meditation. The sequences and long held poses are designed to support a strong body, mind and spirit connection with strategic placement of Yoga props which will encourage the body to release. Props will help facilitate a soma or “living aware” experience by awakening awareness of the body within or silencing those overworked areas. You will leave refreshed and renewed.
This class is perfect for yoga teachers and aspiring yoga teachers, as well as practitioners who want to learn more about restorative yoga and why it is an important component of your yoga practice.
Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Credits are available upon completion.
Please bring your own props. Bolster, 2 blankets, 2 blocks, 1 8 ft strap, fuzzy towel, and an eye pillow.
Restorative Master Class, 2pm-5pm
Experience postures that promote deep relaxation and recuperation from the busyness that the holidays bring. The long held poses will support a strong body, mind and spirit connection with strategic placement of yoga props which will encourage the body to release. We will explore the ultimate restorative posture in a few fresh ways for your body’s needs. Savasana— ahhh. Pure bliss.
Along with subtle body breath work and a unique restorative sequence, we will finish with a deliciously long Yoga Nidra meditation. You will leave refreshed and renewed and ready for whatever this season has to offer you!
